General stores sets dates for orders, inventory

The deadline to order products from the general stores supplemental office products catalog (Boise Cascade) for Fiscal Year 2000-2001 business is 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29. Orders received after this date will be considered Fiscal Year 2001-2002 business. Orders can be faxed to ext. 7-5972.

On Friday, Aug. 31, general stores will close for inventory. No business will be conducted on this day except for the sale of dry ice and liquid nitrogen. General stores will reopen for Fiscal Year 2001-2002 business on Tuesday, Sept. 4.

Deadline to renew parking permits is Aug. 31

The deadline to renew parking permits not purchased through the payroll deduction plan is Aug. 31.

Renewal may be done in person at the university police parking service office or by mail. Instructions for mailing a renewal can be found on the university police Web site at http://www.uthscsa.edu/utpolice/index.htm. Go to "parking" and click on "parking permit registration form." If an individual elects to use the payroll deduction option for the first time, he or she must complete a payroll deduction agreement form. Individuals who have unpaid campus parking or traffic citations will not be allowed to renew their parking permits.

Permits purchased through the payroll deduction plan do not expire and therefore do not require the permit holders to renew them. However, those who obtained permits through the payroll deduction plan will not get their permits automatically renewed if they have any unpaid campus citations as of 5 p.m. Aug. 31.

Permits belonging to persons with unpaid citations will be cancelled on Sept. 1. The cancellation of a permit also will cancel any special parking assignment in effect, making those parking spaces available to persons on the waiting list. Renewing the permit after Sept. 1 will depend on the parking zones available at that time.
