Deadline to renew parking permits is Aug. 31
The deadline to renew parking permits not purchased through the payroll deduction plan is Aug. 31.
Renewal may be done in person at the university police parking service office or by mail. Instructions for mailing a renewal can be found on the university police Web site at http://www.uthscsa.edu/utpolice/index.htm. Go to "parking" and click on "parking permit registration form." If an individual elects to use the payroll deduction option for the first time, he or she must complete a payroll deduction agreement form. Individuals who have unpaid campus parking or traffic citations will not be allowed to renew their parking permits. Similarly, those who obtained permits through the payroll deduction plan will not be renewed if they have any unpaid campus citations as of 5 p.m. Aug. 31.
Permits belonging to persons with unpaid citations will be cancelled on Sept. 1. The cancellation of a permit also will cancel any special parking assignment in effect, making those parking spaces available to persons on the waiting list. Renewing the permit after Sept. 1 will depend on the parking zones available at that time.
