Photo of Eddy w/artwork Dr. Carlton Eddy, ob-gyn, offers a sneak peek of one of his entries, "Holding on Amber." He completed the 20-by-24-inch oil on canvas in two weeks following a visit with his son, Ethan, aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier. Dr. Eddy, who has been painting for 10 years, said he looks forward to the art show because "art is food for the soul and a celebration of life — things to be shared with friends and colleagues."

Photo of Chiang w/artwork Dr. Theresa Chiang, assistant vice president for student services, gives a preview of one of her entries, "Red Bird Perched on a Tree." The graceful artwork was created on rice paper. Dr. Chiang used mineral paints that she ground herself and Chinese inks.
