Wilson is new coordinator of international services
Annette Wilson has joined the Health Science Center as coordinator of international services. She brings years of experience and legal expertise to the position.
Wilson received her law degree from the Washington University School of Law in 1980. She began her career at the Federal Land Bank of St. Louis as an associate attorney and later served as assistant dean of administration at Washington University School of Law. Wilson spent the past 13 years as the special assistant to the president/general counsel at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota. She coordinated international visits and facilitated the employment of foreign nationals there.
"I am delighted to be able to continue the work I did with international visitors at St. Cloud State," Wilson said. "My goals for this office are twofold — to efficiently assist the sponsors and foreign nationals within the confines and complexities of immigrations law and to expand the services of the office to welcome and support the international students and visitors."
Wilson also is a published author, a grant recipient and a distinguished national speaker. She is licensed to practice law in Missouri, Illinois and Minnesota and intends to become licensed in Texas as soon as possible. She began working at the UTHSC July 23.
