Making the Rounds

• Condolences to Dr. Beverly Robinson, associate dean for graduate nursing, and family on the death of Dr. Robinson's husband, Ronald A. Robinson. He died June 20.

• Congratulations to Hilda Johnson, psychiatry, whose daughter, Aurie, was one of 120 students accepted to attend the Northside Independent School District's Communication Arts High School at Taft.

• Congratulations to Dr. Donald Gordon, professor and chairman of the emergency medical technology department, and his wife, Judy, who recently received awards from the American Heart Association. Dr. Gordon received the Paul D. Apgar Award of Excellence for his eight years of service to the American Heart Association and for his "continued involvement above and beyond the call of duty." Judy Gordon received the Volunteer of the Year Award for her outstanding overall achievement and demonstration of excellence as a volunteer of the organization. She also received the association's Regional Volunteer of the Year Award.
