Volunteers are needed at various times to cook, serve food and  drinks, wrap hot dogs and help clean up. Parking committee meeting

The Health Science Center Parking and Traffic Safety Committee will meet at 3  p.m. Tuesday, June 20, in the student services conference room, 348L.  Dr. Richard King, physiology, chairman of the committee, invites the university  community to attend the open business portion of the meeting. Individuals who  wish to address the committee or to have an item discussed may do so provided  they contact the chairman before the meeting so the item can be placed on the  agenda.  Appeals for citations are discussed at the end of the regular business meeting  in closed session. Only the individual appealing the citation is allowed in the  room with the committee during the process. Discussions and votes on citation  appeals are closed to the public.  To have an item placed on the agenda, contact Dr. King at ext. 7-4342 or kingr@uthscsa.edu

Last chance to update ZIP codes

The Health Science Center's new ZIP code, 78229-3900, becomes final July 1. From  that date all stationery (letterhead, envelopes and business cards) and all  incoming Health Science Center mail must carry the new ZIP code, which went into  effect starting July 1999.  Any departments that have not already updated their mailing lists and stationery  should do so immediately. All routine correspondents and journal and magazine  subscription offices need to be notified of the new ZIP code. Web sites and  autosignature addresses must be changed as well.  If you have questions, call Deborah Cornwell, director of general services, at  ext. 7-5960, or David Reina, mail services supervisor, at ext. 7-5992.
