Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship Program

This is a one-year ACGME accredited fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology (CNP). We offer two CNP fellowship positions and have 12 CNP faculty members. The CNP fellowship is flexible based on educational needs of the applicant. The most common track consists of six months of EEG/Epilepsy/Sleep and six months of EMG/Neuromuscular. During the EEG/Epilepsy rotations, fellows also perform two half-days of clinic (Epilepsy and Sleep) along with reading EEGs daily and Sleep studies twice a week. The EMG/Neuromuscular rotation consists of daily EMG/NCV studies except for Tuesday, which is an all-day Neuromuscular clinic. The fellowship can also accommodate rotations in our six-bed Epilepsy monitoring unit (EMU) and three Status Epilepticus portable units. Fellows are also provided with clinical research opportunities. A second year is optional, but recommended for Epilepsy/CNP Fellows. The fellowship received ACGME accreditation until 2011.

The fellowship runs from July 1st through June 30th. The application period is June through August, with notifications made in September and October. Applicants must have completed an ACGME accredited residency in Neurology, Child Neurology, or Psychiatry.
