Breaking ground
Kenda Jameson Evans, Ambassador Scholar from the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, with supervision by an equipment operator, scoops the ground at the Texas Research Park at the site of the new South Texas Centers for Biology in Medicine. The Caterpillar equipment was brought in for the occasion by the Holt Co. In the new research facility, scholars such as Evans will study diseases that disproportionately impact the citizens of the South Texas/Border Region.
