Lions Clubs International Past President visits Lions Low Vision Center

August 2007

Kay K. Fukushima, past president of Lions Clubs International, made a special visit to the Lions Low Vision Center this spring. The center provides low-vision evaluation, resources and rehabilitation for people whose eyesight cannot be corrected by traditional means, such as surgery and eyeglasses.

"We are very hopeful that we will be able to expand our service in the near future," said Sandra Fox, O.D., clinical assistant professor of ophthalmology and Lions Low Vision Center director. "We see patients from all over the state and serve as a resource center for clinics from all over the country," she said.

"What you are doing on campus is magnificent," Fukushima said.

For more information about the center, call (210) 567-8600.
