The new 1998 U.S. News & World Report ranking of graduate schools in the United States has ranked the School of Nursing at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio among the "Best Graduate Schools" in the country.

Of the 306 graduate nursing programs in the United States, the Health Science Center's School of Nursing is ranked 41st.

"The faculty and students are very proud of this recognition of our school," said Janet Allan, PhD, nursing dean. "We look forward to achieving higher rankings in the future, as our innovative and exemplary graduate nursing program continues to attract high quality students and faculty."
