Begin a career in respiratory therapy

The demand for respiratory therapists is expected to increase 42.6 percent through the year 2008. Respiratory therapists help patients with heart and lung problems, and they are vital members of a hospital's lifesaving response team.

The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio offers a bachelor of science degree known for helping students develop into advanced-level clinicians. Graduates have a 100 percent job-placement rate. Applications are being accepted through May 15 for the program beginning in August. Call (210) 567-8850 for more information.
