Multimedia Services offers 3-D human anatomy collection

Multimedia Services has recently acquired the complete 3-D Human Anatomy Collection from the company Zygote. The collection includes both male and female 3-D polygonal models of the highest quality and most medically accurate available on the market to support UT Health Science Center San Antonio projects.

Each model contains completely integrated circulatory, digestive, endocrine, integumentary, lymphatic, urinary, reproductive, respiratory, muscular, nervous and skeletal systems. The models can be dissected and visually altered in almost any way imaginable using the animation editing program to create unique animations or still images for any kind of media presentation format.

Animations can be made to show how the various anatomical systems are integrated within the human body. Additionally, medical and surgical devices can be created and integrated with the anatomy to provide training in a multitude of disciplines.

This collection adds an invaluable visual resource to our clinicians, teaching and research staff at the UT Health Science Center. With this collection, Multimedia Services can create custom teaching and research materials of a level equal to any other institution in the world.
