When twins Erik and Jesus Camacho and their friend won a singing reality show competition in Mexico City, they gave their prize — a wish for anything they wanted — to the twins’ younger brother, Carlos “Charly” Camacho. Headline News: Latinas face delay between abnormal mammogram, diagnosis

Latinas who have an abnormal mammogram result take 33 days longer to reach definitive diagnosis of breast cancer than non-Hispanic white women, according to a new study by the Institute for Health Promotion Research at the UT Health Science Center San Antonio. In February, the <i>New York Times</i> announced the success of a large clinical trial showing that the Mediterranean diet prevents heart attacks and strokes. A different study at the UT Health Science Center San Antonio may have an answer as to <i>why</i> a balanced diet rich in fruit, vegetables and olive oil works.
