Updates to the Library Renovation Project

5th Floor >>

Furniture will be replaced throughout the entire public space, large study rooms will be painted and 9 “media scape” centers will be added to the large study rooms.  All the small study rooms will be painted and study cubicles replaced.  Additional electrical and data capacity will be added.   Since all furniture will be replaced, all student space on the 5th floor will be closed from August 31st to September 10th.  The Office of Undergraduate Medical Education, located on the 5th floor, will not be impacted.  This office will remain open and accessible during regular business hours.

Existing furniture from the 5th floor of the Library will be relocated to create additional seating areas.

Additional study cubicles will be added adjacent to the Temporary Offices for the Medical Dean.   This work is expected to occur on  September 10th.   Impact to the library will be minimal and the entire floor will remain open and accessible during all regular business hours.  Library staff will designate alternate quite study areas if necessary.

3rd Floor >>

Additional study cubicles will be added on this level.  This installation is expected to occur on September 12th, immediately following the completion of the 4th floor installation.  Impact to the library will be minimal and the entire floor will remain open and accessible during regular business hours.  Library staff will designate alternate quiet study areas if necessary.
