New App to Improve Reporting Of Facilities Issues

July 19 , 2018

To better serve the organization and provide an improved level of customer service related to the operation, maintenance, and upkeep of UT Health San Antonio buildings, Facilities Management (FM) has partnered with Information Management Systems (IMS) to create the Report-A-Problem (RAP) App, a mobile-friendly, incident-reporting app that runs on any smartphone and portable computing device.  The app allows everyone in the University to submit an online form to notify FM of a myriad of incidents and issues that require maintenance or repair such as wall electrical outlets without power, out-of-order elevators, warmer than normal room temperature, and ceiling water leaks.  On an average, FM receives and processes over 400 notifications a month. The RAP App, built on the Microsoft PowerApps and Office 365 platform, allows faculty, staff, and students to report problems on-the-go through a timelier, more convenient and accessible reporting tool.

The RAP App is now available and can be launched from Facilities Management's website and SharePoint site.

Instructions on how to use the app can be found here: http://uthscsa.edu/facilities/iso/iso-using-the-rap-app.asp. Learn more about the Report-A-Problem system by visiting its Frequenly Asked Questions page.
