M4 Elevator Outage in Medical School Building
Starting Jan 4th

Facilities Management is scheduled to modernize the M4 elevator in the Medical School Building at the Long Campus beginning January 4th. Downtime for this elevator is estimated at approximately three months and will affect all seven floors serviced by the M4 elevator. This upgrade includes a complete overhaul of mechanical systems, replacement of cabling, electrical and reconditioning of the elevator cabin. This work will be completed on approximately May 28, 2010.

M5 Elevator immediately adjacent to M4 will remain open during this period. In the event that M5 goes down for unscheduled repairs, the below diagrams show the route to alternate elevator M2 that can be used by faculty, students and staff to access upper floors.

Please pass this information to all who might be affected by this outage. If anyone has further questions or concerns about this outage, please contact Dwight Beckingham, Facilities Management Construction Project Manager, at 542-6195.
