The following night, we raised $10,200 for the Student Education Enhancement Fund at the second annual Gala Auction (a 35% increase from 2011). View the Reunion Weekend 2012 photo gallery.

In FY12, 216 School of Medicine alumni made 318 gifts to the Health Science Center, totaling more than $560,000! Each of these was a new record and represented 23%, 38%, and 42% increases from FY11, respectively. Alumni supported a range of initiatives, including faculty endowments, student scholarships, and the Student Education Enhancement Fund. In FY13, we are focused on boosting participation, as we seek to double the number of donors this year. Every gift matters, no matter what the amount, and each gift will help us make lives better! Make a tax-deductible gift.

Three sisters, Corinne Robicheaux, Genevieve Wicker, and Gladys Lynch, recently made gifts to the Health Science Center to honor the lives and memories of their husbands. More…
One option: The IRA Rollover provision permits individuals ages 70½ and older to give direct gifts up to $100,000 to qualified public charities from their Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) without tax penalty. Between now and Feb 1, 2013, you can make an IRA Rollover gift to the School of Medicine that would be counted for the 2012 tax year.
