As we prepare to embark on the 2012-13 academic year at the School of Medicine, it’s a good time to reflect on the Alumni Association’s accomplishments during the past year while taking aim at opportunities for improvement. Alumni Gifts Continue to Enrich Students’ Education
In the past six months, alumni gifts have continued to enrich students’ educational experiences in a variety of ways. Thanks to the generosity of our graduates, the Alumni Association has funded three new pieces of equipment for the H-E-B Clinical Skills Center; a medical mission trip to Ethiopia, and three six-week summer research projects. The Student Education Enhancement Fund also supports community service learning, tutoring services, and enhancements to the Alumni Association Student Lounge. To make a gift, click here.

Gupta ’94 sworn in as TAFP Vice President
Dr. Ajay Gupta ’94 of Austin, Texas, was sworn in as vice president of the Texas Academy of Family Physicians during the 63rd Annual Session and Scientific Assembly in Austin. Dr. Gupta assumed his duties July 14 at the annual Installation of Officers and Awards Lunch. More…
