CHARGE:
The Presidential Distinguished Senior Research Scholar Award was established by the Executive Committee in 1997 to recognize and honor current faculty who have distinguished themselves from their peers by their extraordinary, exemplary, and sustained scholarship in any of the following activities: discovery, integration, application, or teaching (Boyer, 1990).
The Committee is charged with the following tasks:
- Solicit nominations and identify candidates for the Award
- Gather documentation to verify each candidate’s extraordinary scholarship
- Select no more than two candidates to receive the Award
- Submit the name(s) of the candidate(s) to the President
Term of membership: Two years
