Interprofessional Education

Faculty Learning Community Members 2011

The President of the UT Health Science Center at San Antonio, Dr. William Henrich, has an expressed interest in promoting interprofessional education. With NIH funding, a Presidential Faculty Learning Community was formed with a competitive application process. Members of the FLC met monthly through spring and summer 2011 to discuss aspects of IPE and document their discussions. Additionally, three members of the FLC successfully applied for small grant funding to pilot IPE projects. It is yet to be determined how the IPE projects with small grant funding will advance the agenda of the university with regard to IPE adoption and implementation. A summary of the FLC discussions and outcomes is available hereAcrobat.

Other Interprofessional Education resources compiled by the 2011 FLC are available here.
